Introduction to Kombucha

A hands-on introduction to brewing your own kombucha. This workshop is designed to give you the essential tools, knowledge and confidence to start fermenting at home.

We’ll cover the fundamentals of kombucha fermentation, including how it differs from other styles of fermenting, the role of the SCOBY, and the key principles for maintaining a healthy brew. 

During the workshop, you will make your own kombucha first ferment to take home as well as discussing the second fermentation process, how to flavour your kombucha, and how to adjust acidity and carbonation to get kombucha that suits your tastes.

Do I need any experience?
No, this is a beginner-friendly workshop, perfect if you’re new to kombucha or fermentation.

How long is the workshop?
The session runs for 1.5 hours.

What will I take home?
You’ll leave with your own freshly made kombucha, plus detailed notes to help you finish and recreate the process at home.

Where is the workshop held?
The workshop takes place at Corner Corner, South East London, easily accessible from both Canada Water and Surrey Quays stations. 

Cancellations

We appreciate that there may be circumstances where you need to cancel or change the date of your course. With two or more weeks’ notice we are happy to offer a full refund.

For cancellations within two weeks of the class date, a full refund will be offered if we can refill your booking, or a 50% refund if not. If notice is given one week before the course, refunds are at the discretion of The Fermentarium.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of the class.
