Fermentation for Winter Wellness

Join Rachel de Thample for a magical Winter Wellness Fermentation workshop, where you’ll unlock the secrets of using fermented foods as medicine. This hands-on, flavour-packed day is all about boosting immunity, supporting gut health, and making delicious, seasonal ferments infused with warming spices and medicinal herbs.

Rachel is an award-winning food writer and educator, author of the 'River Cottage Fermentation Handbook' and expert on seasonal eating and harnessing the power of food for health. With her guidance, you'll discover how to harness warming spices and gut-loving herbs to create delicious ferments with real medicinal benefits. From comforting krauts to cocktail-ready tonics, you’ll leave with jars full of goodness and a head full of inspiration. These ferments make great holiday presents too! 

During the workshop, you’ll make:

• Winter Five Spice Kraut

• Mushroom Kimchi with Medicinal Mushrooms

• Oxymel Bitters (perfect for making a Kombucha Negroni)

• Four Thieves Vinegar Tonic

What to bring:
Please bring 2 x 500g jars (or similar size) and 2 x bottles or jars (200–350ml). Recycled containers work perfectly - old jam jars, kombucha bottles, or vinegar/sauce jars are ideal.

Cancellations

We appreciate that there will be circumstances whereby you will need to cancel your course or change the date. Given two or more weeks notice we are happy to offer a full refund. For cancellations within two weeks of the class date a full refund will be offered if we can refill your booking or 50% refund if not. If the notice is given 1 week before the course, the refund is at the discretion of The Fermentarium. We are unable to refund cancellations with less than 24 hours notice of the start of the class.
